For brides and grooms

Engaged? Mazaltov! Getting married is one of the most exciting and intense times of your life. Amidst the fun (and stress) of planning a wedding, I offer courses to help you prepare for what comes beyond the Big Day, from a Jewish perspective and more broadly. Whether you’re interested in a full course on the halacha of physicality within a Jewish marriage, space and resources to think about how to make mikva meaningful for you, an inspiring overview to take you into your wedding day, or a refresher course several years into your marriage, I offer different options to meet what you’re after.

I have been trained by Jerusalem’s Eden Centre, run by Yoatzot Halacha, in the Jewish laws around “family sanctity”. I have also completed their advanced training which covered female and male sexual health, communication in marriage, and birth control (from both a medical and halachic perspective) among other topics.

At Pardes I studied an in-depth course on “Sexuality and Sanctity”, looking at rabbinic attitudes to sex (there’s more of inspiring contemporary relevance than you might expect!) and sources on same sex relationships, transgender issues, sex outside marriage and sexual ethics. I believe that Judaism has a lot to teach us today about setting up sanctified, sex-positive, deeply respectful relationships and I look forward to learning with you.
